Ballet Jahfena Youth Ensemble Auditions 

The Auditions will be for dancers, drummers,

actors and actresses, young writers and poets

Children ages 6 to 17 years of age.

No experience needed, training sessions will be held weekly.

Loose Fitting Pants and Tee Shirt or African Lapa (wrap skirt) No Shorts, please
unless they are below the knees. African Lapa's with head wraps are available
for Sale.
Children's Traditional African Dance & Drum ClassesAfrican Centered Dance and Drumming, Plus African History and Culture Registration Required:
$50.00 Registration Fee
$8.00 per Session or $25.00 per month

Classes Description: Warm up exercise, stretching, basic movement techniques and

Traditional African dances and proper movements for different dance styles of Senegal,

Mali, Gambia, Congo, Liberia, Guinea, traditional West African Drumming. Guest

Instructors, Special Workshops and lots of Culture.

Traditional Senegalese West African Drum Class Series
Instructed by: Baba Aliou Diouf
 
Baba Aliou Diouf, Master Drummer, Dancer, Choreographer, Composer, Costume Designer,

Singer and Artistic Director from Dakar. Senegal, West Africa; has over 33 years of professional
experience in Traditional West African Dance and Drum.
